a STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE to

Designing Your Wedding Album

Ready to order?

An heirloom wedding album is more than just a collection of photos—it’s a tangible legacy of your love story. Beautifully crafted to stand the test of time, this album holds the moments, emotions, and memories that made your wedding day uniquely yours.

From the quiet anticipation to the joyous celebration, every detail is thoughtfully preserved, allowing you to relive your most cherished day for years to come and share it with generations to follow.

01. DON'T DO IT ALONE.

I know this can be a daunting task, especially when you have to rummage through hundreds and thousands of photos.

My biggest tip? Do this with someone. It can be a fun date night activity with your spouse (which also lends itself as a perfect opportunity to relive your wedding day!) or something to bond over with your friends, maid-of-honor, and even family members.

Most importantly, find someone who you can trust to encourage and walk with you through your decisions.

02. PICK YOUR FAVORITEs

The best way to start is going through your gallery and choosing the ones that really stand out to you. After you've chosen your pictures, categorize them into different events from the wedding. From there, you can decide how many pictures you'll choose for each category. After that, start narrowing them down to your absolute favorites.

TIP: Include a variety of shots that are candid, posed, and details to help your story flow. In the end, you'll really only deliver between 70 - 85 images total.

Here's a suggestion with how many pictures to choose for each category:

Pre-Ceremony | 10 - 20 Pictures

(Getting ready, Details, First Look)

Couple + Wedding Party | 13 - 15 Pictures

(Bride + Groom, Bridesmaids, Groomsmen)

Family & Group Photos | 10 - 10 Pictures

Ceremony | 17 - 20 Pictures

Reception | 20 Pictures

(Venue, Cake Cutting, Toasts, Garter & Bouquet Toss, Design & Decor, Dance(s), Grand Exit)

03. DESIGN YOUR ALBUM

Now you've reached the fun part! This is where you get to be creative and create something that's true to your personality and your wedding day.

FRONT COVER:

The cover of your album comes with three options:

  1. a clean / blank front
  2. a window cut-out for a cover picture
  3. or foil debossing for lettering.

FOIL DEBOSSING:

If you choose this option for your album cover, you get to select from a collection of debossing designs!

Please note:

  1. Debossing Collection designs will appear exactly as the designs are presented (all caps, all lowercase, etc.)
  2. Foil debossing is available in gold, rose gold, and silver on Luxe Linen, Classic Linen, Luxe Leather, Vegan Leather, and Vegan Suede covers (not Fabric or Leather covers).
