To help you understand my services better, I've compiled a list of frequently asked questions for your convenience.

Booking & details

• Q: how far in advance should we book you? 

WEDDINGS: My schedule fills up quickly so it's recommended that you book me at least 8-12 months in advance. That leaves room for us to fit in an engagement session if you plan to use your pictures for save-the-dates or invitations. If you book me within a shorter time frame, please email me as soon as you can to check availability.

PORTRAITS: Weekends are limited for portrait sessions, so please book me at least 2-3 months in advance. If every weekend is booked, I'm more than happy to work with your schedule to find a date within the week. 

• Q: how do I reserve you for our wedding/session?

You will need to turn in a signed agreement and a 30% non-refundable retainer to reserve your date. The remaining balance will be due 30 days before your wedding date, but don't worry. I'll make sure to send out a reminder so you don't forget! 

• Q: WHAT's your payment process?

Upon turning in your 30% retainer, you'll have one more payment to make 30 days before your wedding date. Please contact me to discuss payment options.

• Q: what are your rates & packages?

Wedding budgets are often stressful so I want to make this process go smoothly for you. The best way to view your options is to email me via my contact form. Please provide as many details as you can so I can accommodate to your needs. Since no two weddings are the same, I'm more than happy to create any custom packages that fit your wedding day needs. 

• Q: what events can we book you for?

I am currently accepting weddings, engagements (including proposals), and family portraits. 

• Q: how should I choose my photographer? 

I completely understand how stressful it can be to choose your wedding vendors. It can be tedious, but it's also fun. I value building relationships, and I certainly want to have that with you and your family. I really encourage you to get to know me, especially in person. If that means sitting down in a coffee shop to share your story, then sign me up! My goal as your photographer is to reflect your story in my art so that you are able to relive these precious moments. I don't want to just work at a distance at your wedding. I want to be someone who you can share laughter and trust with throughout the day. Most importantly, I want you to love my work. Every photographer has their own style so take the time to figure out what you want so you can fall in love with and cherish your pictures for the years to come. 

• Q: how do i contact you?

I'm best reached via my contact form here. I will make sure to respond to you within 24 hours. You can also follow me on Instagram and my Facebook page. 

• Q: do you offer discounts?

Each of my packages have been curated and priced according to their value. Depending on the season, I may have discounted deals. However, I don't generally offer discounts.

If you have any budgetary needs, please don't hesitate to let me know. I'm more than willing to work with you. But rest assured! No matter what package you receive from me, the quality of my service will not change.

• Q: DO YOU OFFER VIDEO COVERAGE?

Unfortunately, I don't, but I can certainly refer you to trusted vendors that can do the job for you!

• Q: do you offer engagement sessions? 

Yes! In fact, it's highly encouraged for you to do an engagement session. I offer it in my wedding packages so if you'd like to combine both services, please contact me so I can email you my pricing. 

coverage & travel

• Q: do you travel?   

Yes! I'm based in Austin, Texas, but I'm also available to travel all year round. Any outside cities will be charged a travel fee. If you have any questions about lodging, please contact me for further discussion.

• Q: who will be photographing at our wedding?

Every wedding will be photographed by me as the lead photographer.

However, depending on the size of your wedding, it's important to have a second photographer or assistant. The difference is that a second photographer will also be photographing from a different angle to ensure more moments captured while an assistant is present to help me with equipment setup and other tasks.

• Q: how can we help you on our wedding day?

Prior to the wedding, I'll send out a template for you to fill out your schedules and shot lists. It's important for me to have that because it helps me organize and anticipate what to capture so I don't miss any moments. 

On the day of, it's recommended that my team and I are provided meals (at least dinner) so that we can work at a higher level once we're fed. With a whole day's event ahead, there's very little time for meal breaks so please work with your photographer(s) to make sure they are cared for. 

• Q: can our friends & family also photograph with their cameras?

Technically, yes. However, I'm a firm believer of "unplugged weddings," meaning guests are politely asked by the bride and groom to keep all phones/electronics off during the ceremony and reception. Unfortunately, guests often disrupt the opportunity for professional photographers to get the perfect shot if they happen to stand in the way or raise their phones in the aisle, which blocks the photographers view.

While such a policy is not strictly enforced, encouraging your guests to refrain from using their own devices helps them more fully enjoy your wedding.

other details

• Q: DO WE GET COPYRIGHTs TO OUR PICTURES?

No. I provide a print release which grants permission for you to print your pictures at any lab of your choosing. It also provides instruction on how to use photos online with the proper crediting. However, it does not grant the copyright of the pictures.

• Q: HOW long do we wait for our pictures?

Engagement and portrait sessions will be available for online viewing after approximately 2-3 weeks. Weddings usually take longer at 4-6 weeks. 

• Q: do you offer wedding albums & prints?

Yes! I am currently offering custom, hand crafted signature fine art album printed on soft, natural white shell paper. This album also comes with matching linen heirloom box. Prints are professional grade archive paper with a semi-gloss luster finish. wrapped in vellum paper and delivered in an heirloom glass box for display. 

• Q: can we also get the raw/unedited files?

Unfortunately, the raw/unedited files are not available for viewing or purchase. But don't worry, you're not missing out. I'm not withholding them to limit the amount of pictures I give you. Whatever pictures that don't make the cut just means that they're outtakes, meaning they're either out of focus or corrupted. You wouldn't want them either.
